This is also the first time in history that the women’s national championship was held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. VFF further announced that the first leg will take place from May 1 to June 1, 2024.

Ba Ria Stadium – home stadium of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Club, the team currently playing in the national first division, Tan Hung Stadium and Long Tam Stadium will be the 3 main venues. In particular, Ba Ria Stadium is known as one of the stadiums with grass surfaces, stands and function rooms meeting top standards in Vietnam. The remaining Tan Hung and Long Tam stadiums are also expected to meet the best conditions with professional requirements for women’s tournament matches.

The 2024 Women’s National Championship has 8 participating teams including: Ho Chi Minh City I, Vietnam Coal and Minerals, Hanoi I, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Hanoi II, Son La, Ho Chi Minh City II and Thai Nguyen T&T. Teams compete in a double round-robin format (first and second leg) gathering at the host locality to calculate points and rankings.

VFF also announced that each team is allowed to replace up to 5 players in a maximum of 3 substitutions per match. In addition to the first leg’s scheduled time and location, the return leg is expected to take place from July 2 to August 2, 2024 at the Northern location.

In particular, the 2024 Women’s National Championship not only maintains the number of participating teams, but this is also the second year the organizers have kept the prize money unchanged after it was raised from last season. Accordingly, the championship team receives 500 million VND, the second-place team receives 300 million VND, and the third-place team receives 300 million VND. For additional prizes, the team winning the style award receives 50 million VND and the individual prizes include: best player of the tournament, best goalkeeper and player with the most goals in the tournament, each individual receives 20 million VND. .

Mr. Tran Anh Minh, General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company – main sponsor, excitedly said: “Teams that receive strong investment will have more motivation and positive changes. The matches will therefore be much more balanced and dramatic. This will attract many interested audiences and fans.
