According to statistics from the Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province, there are currently 174 gasoline and oil stores in the province (both on land and at sea). To date, 170 stores have deployed electronic invoices via app and POS machines to issue invoices for each sale (accounting for 97.7%). Currently, there are 4 stores in Dong Trieu town that are preparing to use electronic invoices.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Director of Quang Ninh Market Management Department, the application of electronic invoices is one of the important solutions contributing to promoting digital transformation in the area. Therefore, the market management force has proactively coordinated with relevant departments and branches to promote propaganda, inspection and supervision of the use of electronic invoices by businesses, resolutely handling violations. In cases where there are regulations on the use of electronic invoices but they are not implemented.

On March 29, 2024, the Quang Ninh Market Management Department issued a document directing local Market Management Teams to strengthen inspection and control of petroleum business activities and compliance with regulations on Electronic invoices of petroleum stores in the province.

Implementing the direction of the Quang Ninh Market Management Department, Market Management Teams in the province have proactively developed plans and strengthened coordination with relevant sectors and localities to strengthen inspection and supervision. Supervise compliance with regulations on electronic invoices at petrol and oil stores.

Accordingly, from February 20 to present, Market Management Team No. 5 (in charge of Ha Long City) coordinates with functional branches of the City. Ha Long inspected 19 petroleum stores (10 stores with 61 pumps on land, 15 stores at sea with 15 pumps). Thereby, 14 businesses were discovered and handled violating regulations on electronic invoices, and fined 58 million VND for administrative violations. The main violations are not making invoices according to regulations and making invoices at the wrong time.

In the coming time, the Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province will continue to strengthen inspection and supervision of the use of electronic invoices at petroleum stores in the area and strictly handle violations.
