On April 26, information from the Hai Duong People’s Procuracy and Nam Sach District People’s Court just opened a public trial for defendant Pham Dinh Vu (born in 2002, residing in Thuong Bi 2 village, Yet commune). Kieu, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province) on the charge of “Illegal trading of narcotics”.

According to the indictment, at 12:00 on January 8, 2024, in the area in front of Hai Lam karaoke bar in Phu Lien village, Hong Phong commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province, the police of Hong Phong commune, Nam Sach district checked and discovered Pham. Dinh Vu illegally hid a package of marijuana, weighing 5,161 grams, for the purpose of selling for profit. In addition, the Investigation Agency also seized 30,382 grams of marijuana at Vu’s residence.

At trial, the defendant honestly admitted that for profit purposes, he sold marijuana-type drugs to someone he knew through social networks.

Through the process of questioning and debate at the trial, fully considering the details of the case, the aggravating and mitigating circumstances of the defendant’s criminal liability, the jury sentenced defendant Pham. Dinh Vu committed the crime of “Illegal trading of narcotics” prescribed in Clause 1, Article 251 of the Penal Code, sentenced to 27 months in prison.
