On the morning of April 26, the Border Guard Station at Phu My Port Border Gate saved the life of a young man about 23 years old who jumped from Phu My bridge.

Authorities promptly rescued the young man who jumped from the bridge.

At about 7 o’clock, the authorities received news that a person jumped from Phu My bridge (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City). Phu My Port Border Guard Station dispatched 4 officers and 1 canoe to the scene and rescued the young man onto K16 bridge at Rau Qua port.

The young man received initial first aid but was in a coma and had no identification papers so his identity could not be determined.

This unit then coordinated with District 7 Hospital to take the young man to Hospital 115 for further emergency treatment.

Phu My Bridge was invested 2,077 billion VND, connecting districts 2 and 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. Construction started in February 2005 and completed in 2009.
