Launching the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health and Workers Month in 2024

(LD online) – On April 26, in Ka Do commune, Don Duong district, the launching ceremony of the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month and Workers’ Month 2024 took place. The event was organized by the Council of Occupational Safety and Health Organized by the Provincial People’s Committee in coordination with the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Confederation.

Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) 2024 with the theme “Strengthening OSH assurance at the workplace and in the supply chain” and Workers’ Month 2024 with the theme “Uniting workers – Deploying Resolution”.

OSH work is always of concern to the Party and State because it is not only an issue that directly affects human health but also has a strong impact on the economic development of the country of businesses. In order to further promote the movement among workers in all industries, localities, businesses and units to strictly comply with legal regulations on OSH, limit and prevent the risk of accidents, ensure the lives and health of workers, protect state assets and citizen assets; At the same time, we mobilize the attention and participation of the political system, business community and society to work together to care for and build an increasingly strong team of workers in the province.

Speaking at the Launching Ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Duoc – Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Confederation stated that, in the context of many difficulties, all levels and sectors have coordinated with the Trade Union to promulgate, Deploying many support policies and organizing activities, contributing to creating jobs, improving working conditions, increasing income, and comprehensively taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers and laborers. Faced with the need to continue comprehensively promoting innovation and international integration, arousing the desire to develop a prosperous and happy country in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress; with determination to improve working conditions, control labor accidents and occupational diseases; Protect human resources towards a safe, highly productive production throughout the entire supply chain, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party’s resolutions, especially Directive No. 31 dated March 19, 2024 of the Secretariat on continuing to strengthen the Party’s leadership on occupational safety and hygiene in the new situation.

Therefore, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that each worker, employee, and laborer will promote intelligence, initiative, creativity, emulate labor and production, and contribute to achieving goals. The tasks of agencies, units, and businesses are to accompany and stick with the Vietnam Trade Union, actively contributing to the cause of national construction and development.

At the same time, associated with patriotic emulation movements such as: Movement “Good Labor – Creative Labor”; “Innovation and technical improvement” movement; movement to build “Enterprises meeting cultural standards”…

Regarding building and replicating typical collectives and individuals, new models and effective ways of implementing the emulation movement “Lam Dong workers follow Uncle Ho’s words”, a number of direct superior unions The facility has selected and registered to build the emulation movement “Lam Dong workers follow Uncle Ho’s words” as a model for implementing “Smart mass mobilization” in union activities in sectors and localities. Many enterprise Communist unions have focused on building a model of learning and following Uncle Ho in association with performing professional tasks, promoting efficiency in production and business activities of enterprises and trade union activities at typical grassroots levels. such as: Grassroots unions of Lam Dong Agricultural Supply Company, Sunfeel Vietnam Co., Ltd., Lam Hong Co., Ltd. registered and implemented the model “Solidarity, sharing, emulation to successfully complete tasks”, model model “Building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations in enterprises” as a premise for developing production and business of enterprises, bringing benefits to workers, contributing to economic stability – society, promoting economic growth and sustainable development.

On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation also awarded 11 “Trade Union Warm” houses to workers in difficult circumstances in the province, worth 50,000,000 VND/house and gave 30 gifts to workers. For workers in difficult circumstances in Don Duong district, each gift is worth 500,000 VND.
