Launching Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene and Workers Month in 2024

On April 26, the People’s Committee and the Labor Confederation of Ha Giang province jointly organized the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Workers’ Month 2024 with the participation of nearly 400 union members. , workers, officials, laborers.

This is an important event to promote activities to prevent labor accidents and occupational diseases, improve working conditions, and aim to build and develop a safety culture at work. At the same time, take care of the workers and laborers both in terms of material and spiritual life, contributing to building a modern and strong working class in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.

Ha Giang province currently has over 42 thousand workers, officials, and employees with gradually improved educational levels, expertise, and professional skills, meeting the requirements of agencies, units, businesses and making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the province. OSH Month 2024 with the theme: “Strengthening OSH at the workplace and in the supply chain” and Workers’ Month 2024 with the theme “Uniting workers – Implementing resolutions” will be implemented from May 1 – May 31, 2024.

Activities responding to the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene have been coordinated by the Confederation of Labor of Ha Giang province in coordination with relevant agencies from the province to the grassroots, making an important contribution to economic development and ensuring social security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Duc Quy requested all levels, sectors, trade unions, enterprises, production and business establishments to strengthen propaganda and raise awareness of OSH work. ; well implement the provisions of the Labor Code; improve working conditions, reduce and prevent the risk of labor accidents and occupational diseases; Pay attention to training and fostering to improve professional qualifications, skills, professional skills, build industrial style, labor discipline, and adapt to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
