Chairman of Truong Thi Ward People’s Committee (Vinh City) Nguyen Sy Dung informed that the authorities have successfully moved and handled the 340 kg bomb, discovered while working on a drainage ditch project on the road. Dinh Bat Tuy.
A bomb weighing 340kg with its fuse intact, a remnant from the war, was discovered and successfully processed in Vinh City.
The bomb is 110cm long, 41cm in diameter, with fuse and tail intact. The bomb lies about 2 meters above the ground, a remnant from the war. When discovered, the construction unit reported it to local authorities.
Immediately afterwards, military forces arrived, zoned in, used measures and equipment to move the bomb to a safe area and successfully detonated it.
