The fire that occurred in Tay Con Linh forest area started from dawn on April 26, causing many areas of natural forest to be destroyed by fire.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ha Giang province said that the forest fire occurred around 2 a.m. on April 26, in the area bordering three communes of Phuong Tien, Lao Chai, Xin Chai, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province in Tay Con Linh special-use forest.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Agriculture and Rural Development sector of Ha Giang province, the People’s Committee of Vi Xuyen district and the functional forces of Ha Giang province took charge of the situation and mobilized the police, army and militia. Self-defense and local people take measures to create fire barriers to surround the fire area.

By noon of the same day, the creation of a fire barrier was basically completed. Ha Giang authorities are continuing to mobilize forces to find ways to extinguish the fire; Use a flycam to determine and update the specific situation of the fire. According to the initial assessment of the authorities of Ha Giang province, in the area where the fire occurred, there was a fire streak about 7km long, with an estimated damage area of ​​10 hectares.

The cause of the fire is continuing to be investigated and clarified by the authorities of Ha Giang province.
