Rescued young man who jumped to his death from Phu My bridge

On April 26, Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard said that the Border Guard Station at Phu My Port just promptly saved the life of a young man who jumped from Phu My bridge (District 7).

Nearly 7:00 a.m. on the same day, Phu My Port Border Guard Station received news that a person jumped from Phu My bridge.

Immediately, four officers of the unit controlled a canoe to approach the scene of the Saigon River area where the young man fell.

Here, the Border Guard force rescued the victim on K16 bridge at Rau Qua port, District 7 and conducted initial first aid.

At the time of rescue, the victim was in a coma and had no identification papers. The unit sent forces to coordinate with District 7 Hospital to transport the victim to Hospital 115 for emergency treatment.

Previously, on April 9, Phu My Port Border Guard Station also promptly saved the life of a 45-year-old man named NV Tung (living in District 4) who committed suicide by jumping off Phu My Bridge (District 7). The victim said he worked as a trader, had just divorced his wife, and was raising three children alone, so he was bored and jumped off a bridge.
