On April 26, the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh province confirmed that it had received a report from a unit specializing in exploiting cave tourism in Quang Ninh district about the discovery of a new cave, located in Sat village, Truong Son commune. , belongs to this district. This cave is described as having a beautiful stalactite system that looks like a giant carpet.

It is known that in July 2023, this unit discovered a new cave in Sat village and named it Hang Lu. After that, this unit created a project on community tourism combined with cave exploration and sent it to the People’s Committee of Quang Binh province and the Department of Tourism.
The new cave was temporarily named Flood cave
The survey process determined that the cave is 2km long with an entrance 8m high and 9m wide, including 4 cave branches with 100m of dry cave and the rest is wet cave. In addition, inside the cave there is also an underground river system with the highest point of 35m. In particular, this cave possesses layers of stalactites like giant carpets connecting each other and has a enchanting beauty.

Previously, another cave was also recently discovered in Truong Son commune, Son Nu cave. These two caves both have rare beauty, are located a few kilometers apart and are considered landmark discoveries for Quang Binh’s cave system.
