At 1:25 p.m. on April 26, the search force of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police found the man’s body on the Thach Han River in the An Mo Bridge area (Ai Tu Town, H. Trieu Phong).

Authorities brought the victim’s body to shore

Previously, at 12 o’clock on April 25, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police received a report about a suspected drowning in the An Mo bridge area. Immediately, the search and rescue force coordinated with the authorities and local people to organize a search throughout the evening of April 25 but with no results.

As of today, April 26, the search work continues. It was not until early this afternoon that the authorities discovered the body.

The victim’s identity was determined to be Mr. NVH, 39 years old, residing in block 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri town (Quang Tri). The cause of the incident is being investigated by authorities.
