Four other people were prosecuted and detained for the same crime as Mr. Phuong, including: Xa Duong Thang, former Director of the Department of Construction, former Secretary of the Bac Binh District Party Committee, Binh Thuan province; Do Ngoc Diep, former Chairman of Phan Thiet City People’s Committee; Ho Nhu Hai, former Deputy Director of Southern Information and Valuation Joint Stock Company – Binh Thuan Branch, Price Appraiser and Le Anh Huy, former Head of General Administration Department of the Provincial Land Management Department Binh Thuan.
In the same case, the investigation agency decided to prosecute the defendant, and issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Nguyen Van Phong – former Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, former standing member of the Land Valuation Council, former Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee. Binh Thuan Province.
The investigation agency initiated temporary detention of Mr. Ho Lam, former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan province; Le Nguyen Thanh Danh, former Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan province;
Three former leaders and officers of the Land Management Department of Binh Thuan province were also prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Thanh Cho, former Head of the Department; Le Nam Hung, former Deputy Director of the Department and Pham Duy Cuong, former Deputy Head of the Land Economics Department, former Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan province.
All 6 of the above defendants are serving prison sentences in the case of “violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss, waste and irresponsibility causing serious consequences”, which occurred in Ho Chi Minh City.
