Samsung Vietnam implements many social responsibility programs

Samsung was honored in four major categories: “Typical enterprise in improving knowledge and promoting education” (Platinum rank), “Typical CSR enterprise of Vietnam” (Gold rank), “Typical CSR enterprise of Vietnam” (Gold rank), “Typical CSR enterprise of Vietnam” (Gold rank), “Typical CSR enterprise of Vietnam” (Gold rank), leading CSR and ESG” (Gold rank) and “Typical projects for the community” (Bronze rank). The award is recognition for Samsung’s efforts in investment and development in Vietnam.

Currently, Samsung is spending a large budget on social responsibility activities to focus on nurturing the young generation in Vietnam.

A typical example is the Solve for tomorrow contest, which aims to encourage students to apply knowledge of STEM education methods, attracting more than 300,000 students and teachers to register, with nearly 5,200 entries.

The Samsung innovation campus program is organized to develop technological capacity, artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data… for nearly 6,500 lecturers and students, of more than 40 educational institutions.

Samsung plans to deploy the SIC program with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to realize Vietnam’s goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030.

The Samsung Hope School project implemented in Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Binh Phuoc has brought learning and development opportunities to more than 5,000 children in difficult circumstances.

After 16 years, Samsung is now the largest investor in Vietnam, with a total investment capital of up to 22.4 billion USD. Samsung currently has 6 factories, 1 research and development (R&D) center and 1 sales entity.

The 16th annual conference honoring outstanding global individuals and businesses in the field of CSR & ESG is one of the global events on sustainable development.
