Vietnamese leaders sent condolences about the floods in Tanzania

Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent condolences to President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa on the recent heavy rains and floods.

Hearing about the recent heavy rains and floods in Tanzania causing serious damage to people and property, on April 26, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan sent a telegram of condolences to President Samia Suluhu Hassan; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a condolence message to Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a condolence message to Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania January Yusuf Makamba.

Tanzanian Government spokesman, Mr. Mobhare Matinyi, said that from April 1 to April 14, Tanzania recorded 58 deaths due to heavy rains causing floods.

In addition, more than 10,000 families were affected and 76,698 farms were damaged by flooding in coastal areas and in the town of Morogoro – a locality located a short distance from Dar-es-Salaam, the largest city and the largest city in the world.
