Knowing that the opponent was weak against “power play”, the Vietnamese futsal team continued to play 5 vs 4 to resolve the match. However, Chau Doan Phat’s shot hit Anh Duy’s leg and bounced back. The Kyrgyz player took the ball and kicked it into an empty goal to set the score 3-2.

Talking about the decision to go all-in, coach Giustozzi confided: “When they pushed the goalkeeper high, I wanted the players to defend tightly to wait for a chance to score. We also played power play but couldn’t put the ball into the net. then they score. Futsal football is like that, we accept that.”

Mr. Giustozzi felt regretful when he did not meet the expectations of Vietnamese fans. “We played 100% of our ability. In Thailand, but the whole team felt the love of the fans for the team. We were not able to bring back victory,” he said.

Commenting on the process, the head coach of the Vietnam futsal team said: “We must improve because other teams are also improving very quickly.”

With this result, Kyrgyzstan will meet the Afghan futsal team in the final of the play-off round. The winning team will win the final ticket to the 2024 Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan.
