VHO – Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway has officially opened to help people and tourists travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang and the South Central provinces smoothly, especially on the holidays of April 30 and May 1.
Vehicles pass through checkpoints on the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao highway
On April 26, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway through three provinces of Khanh Hoa – Ninh Thuan – Binh Thuan was officially opened. Many vehicle owners and drivers seemed happy to experience and travel conveniently on this highway to return home for fun, holidays, etc.
According to records, from the early morning of April 26, vehicles began circulating on the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao highway. The road surface is clear so vehicles move smoothly.
At the Phan Rang toll station intersection with National Highway 27 (Ninh Thuan) and along the highway, vehicles mainly move in the South – North direction.
The maximum speed limit for vehicles on the expressway is only 90km/h
Representative of Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Joint Stock Company (Project Enterprise) informed that Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway was officially put into operation to serve 2-way traffic (no tolls). on the route starting from April 26, 2024, then it is expected to organize toll collection from May 2, 2024.
This expressway allows traffic at a maximum speed of 90 km/h, using an intelligent transportation system (ITS) and a management team that operates synchronously throughout the route. On the route there is a 2.25 km long Nui Vung tunnel. Phase 1 uses a two-way tunnel.
On the first day, the highway was clear and safe
The Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway project is 78 km long, passing through 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, invested in the public-private partnership (PPP) method, with a cost of about 9,000 billion VND. The project was started on September 30, 2021, and the inauguration is expected to take place on the afternoon of April 28, 2024.
