According to the report, in 2023, Bac Lieu Provincial Social Insurance has directly signed an authorization contract to collect social insurance and health insurance with 10 collection service organizations including: Bac Lieu Provincial Post Office, Viettel, Provincial Veterans Association, Company Phuong Trung Company Limited, Quach Kim Dong Company Limited, Manh Kien Social Insurance Collection Service Company Limited, Tam Duc HLNT Medical Company Limited, Thanh Nhan Trading and Services Company Limited, Machine Technology Company Limited According to Tam Thinh, Minh Hai Bac Lieu Construction Consulting Company Limited with 314 collection points, 599 certified collection staff and 90 collection collaborators.

Social Insurance has proactively assigned the target of developing participants in unemployment insurance and family health insurance to service agencies to organize implementation with the following results: specifically, voluntary social insurance has developed 11,602 participants, reaching 75% of the assigned plan. ; Household health insurance has a number of participants of 316,467 people, reaching 65% of the assigned plan.

The Social Insurance and Health Insurance Institutions are truly “extended arms” of the social insurance industry, making an important contribution to the development of participants in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance. Through the collection service organization system, the work of developing participants in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance has brought positive effects, every year together with the provincial social insurance agency completes the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance.

GCDVT has made many efforts in developing participants in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance. However, the number of people participating in voluntary social insurance is still low compared to the assigned target, due to people’s difficult lives and unstable income. In addition, people’s awareness of the voluntary social insurance policy is not high, and there is no awareness of saving for the future, especially in remote areas and areas with many ethnic minorities.

The Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Insurance requested the Department of Management of Collection – Books and Cards, the Department of Communications and the Collection Service Organizations to strengthen close coordination with the Steering Committee for policy implementation at the ward and commune levels; Heads of the People’s Committees of the clusters to identify potential customers, thereby doing a good job of mobilizing people to participate in social insurance and health insurance.
