On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024) and the 49th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and unification of the country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2024), on the afternoon of April 26, the Management Board Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter cooperated with the B52 Victory Museum – Department of Politics, Hanoi Capital Command and the Vietnam Military History Museum to organize a photo exhibition with the theme Vietnam – victories that changed the flow of world history.
Vietnam’s history in the 20th century is the history of great national defense resistance wars, of which the most typical and prominent is the Dien Bien Phu Victory, ending 9 years of resistance against the French colonialists and the French colonial campaign. Ho Chi Minh liberated the South and unified the country, ending the resistance war against the US that lasted nearly 21 years.
