The accomplices of defendant Tran Duc Duong include: Hoang Huy Truong, Pham Hong Chinh, Hoang Van Buong, Nong Minh Tuan, Hoang Ngoc Hai, Tran Xuan Manh, Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Le Ngoc Hung and Ta Tran Thai.
The total amount of bribes received by the defendants was nearly 334 million VND, each time from 150,000 VND – 1.5 million VND out of a total of 997 customers coming to register. The amount received, Duong manages and divides it among registrars and professional staff.
At the trial, considering the identities and aggravating and mitigating circumstances of criminal liability, based on the nature and severity of the defendants’ violations, the Trial Panel sentenced defendant Tran Duc Duong to 4 years in prison. Additional fine of 50 million VND; Defendant Hoang Huy Truong was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison and an additional fine of 40 million VND; Defendant Pham Hong Chinh was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison and an additional fine of 40 million VND.
Defendant Hoang Van Buong was sentenced to 3 years in prison and an additional fine of 30 million VND; Defendant Nong Minh Tuan was sentenced to 3 years in prison and an additional fine of 30 million VND.
Defendants Hoang Ngoc Hai; Tran Xuan Manh; Le Ngoc Hung; Nguyen Ngoc Tu; Ta Tran Thai, each defendant was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
