Practical actions contribute to the goal of a green Vietnam

On April 10, 2024, TCP Group, TCP Vietnam Co., Ltd. coordinated with the Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Communication under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial Youth Union and the Forest Management Board. Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province households have coordinated to implement the tree planting program “TCP – Journey for a green Vietnam” in the protective forest area of ​​Phuoc Thuan commune, Xuyen Moc district, Binh Chau Nature Reserve – Phuoc Buu (Ba Ria – Vung Tau province).

The program launching ceremony was attended by leaders of departments and branches, leaders of TCP Group, employees of TCP Vietnam Company and youth union members in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

The program affirms the efforts of participating parties to contribute to the goal of improving the quality and value of forest ecosystems, promoting the role of forests and trees in socio-economic development. , protecting the ecological environment, natural landscape and limiting the negative effects of climate change.

After the launching ceremony on April 10, phase 1 of the program had 300 ironwood trees successfully planted in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province with the participation of leaders of departments, branches, and leaders of TCP Group, employees of TCP Vietnam Company and youth union members in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

After that, phase 2 of the program will take place from June 1 to June 30, 2024 with the number of trees planted being 2,400 trees. Tree planting, care, and use management will be handed over to the Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Protection Forest Management Board to ensure effectiveness, as well as monitor tree health, growth parameters, and harvests. Collect data for field reports.

The practicality of the program is also demonstrated through the seminar “TCP Vietnam – Journey for a green Vietnam”.

From the perspective of two experts – Mr. Nguyen Thi (Legal Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Representative of the National EPR Office) and Mr. Pham Hong Quan (Environmental Pollution Control Department) on regulations on Extended responsibilities of manufacturers are stipulated in the Law and Decree detailing a number of articles of the Law on Environmental Protection, the current situation of climate change and carbon market development policies in Vietnam.

Representatives from TCP Group shared about the Group’s activities and production processes in environmental protection, recycling, and carbon neutrality. At the same time, experts and delegates discussed topics related to extended responsibility of manufacturers, regulations, content, and perspectives on implementing Net zero in Vietnam.
