Binh Duong Province Digital Transformation Center was renamed from Information and Communications Technology Center (IT&TT) according to Decision No. 566/QD-UBND dated March 8, 2024 of the Provincial People’s Committee.

The ICT Center was established in 2009. During 15 years of construction and development, the ICT Center has always strived to overcome difficulties and perform its functions well in areas such as: Providing services and provide application products; coordinate and associate to organize human resource training; Propose and implement topics, projects, and research to develop the IT industry in the locality; Carry out communication functions to serve the province’s socio-economic development.

However, to meet the increasing requirements of digital transformation, the establishment of a Digital Transformation Center is extremely necessary and urgent.

Binh Duong Provincial Digital Transformation Center was established with the goal of becoming a focal point and specialized agency to support the Provincial People’s Committee, Department of Information and Communications, departments, branches, branches and localities in digital transformation work.

The Center will perform main tasks such as: Advising and proposing strategies, programs, plans and solutions on digital transformation for the province; propagate and disseminate regulations and instructions on digital transformation of the Department of Information and Communications; Support departments, branches, branches and localities in building and implementing digital transformation solutions. The Center is also a consulting and support unit providing services and digital platforms for state administrative agencies, businesses and people; Carry out tasks and propose solutions to raise awareness and capacity for officials, civil servants, public employees and people about digital transformation; international cooperation in the field of digital transformation.

Speaking at the Announcement Ceremony, Mr. Le Tuan Anh – Director of the Department of Information and Communications said that the birth of the Digital Transformation Center is an important step in the digital transformation of Binh Duong province. He believes that, with the efforts and determination of the Center’s collective officers, civil servants, and employees, along with the close coordination of departments, branches, branches, and localities, the Center will complete well. assigned functions and tasks, contributing to making Binh Duong the leading province in digital transformation in the region.
