During the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, Vinh Phuc province had 1,109 veterans participating in combat, currently 509 are still alive; There were 859 young volunteers and frontline civilians participating, 344 people were still alive. At the meeting, delegates had the opportunity to review the revolutionary tradition and the heroic years of the people of the whole country, all looking towards Dien Bien Phu.

To pay tribute to the great contributions of our ancestors in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign as well as the cause of national liberation struggle, in recent times the Party Committee, government and people in the province have always paid attention and taken care of us. , implementing a policy of gratitude and gratitude, promoting the tradition of “drinking water, remember its source”; Visit, give gifts, help families of war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution, and policy families in the area.

Veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in the past became shining examples for the younger generation of patriotism, fighting spirit, and sacrifice for the cause of independence and freedom of the nation. At the meeting, the Provincial Veterans Association presented gifts of gratitude to veterans who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

On the same day, the Veterans Association of Vinh Yen city organized a “Friendly Friendship” house repair donation for members in difficult housing situations in the area; awarded 15 million VND to support home repair for veteran Phan Huy Gia, 96 years old, in Lap residential group, Lien Bao ward, Vinh Yen city, who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and made many contributions to the Military sector. . This is one of a series of gratitude activities for people with meritorious services and policy families of the Vinh Yen City Veterans Association on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

On this occasion, the Working Group of the Military Command of Vinh Phuc Province visited and gave gifts to many families of Dien Bien soldiers residing in districts and cities in the province.
