On the afternoon of April 26, 2024, at Tu Tho Resettlement village (Te Xang commune, Tu Mo Rong district), Tu Mo Rong district People’s Committee held the closing ceremony and awarded awards for activities at the International Culinary Competition and set a Vietnamese record for dishes made from ginseng.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrades: Ha Ban – Former Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Central Organizing Committee; Y Ngoc – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Huynh Quoc Huy – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Department; Y Thi Bich Tho – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Committee; leaders of several departments and branches.

After 2 days of the contest, 21 teams prepared 120 culinary dishes derived from Tu Mo Rong ginseng. These dishes were invited by the Organizing Committee for visitors to enjoy and were praised as Tu Mo Rong ginseng, contributing to elevating Vietnamese cuisine. That further affirms the value and quality of Tu Mo Rong ginseng compared to ginseng grown in other regions. After the contest, Tu Mo Rong district will print a recipe book for preparing dishes from Tu Mo Rong ginseng, then widely distribute it so that everyone, every home in Vietnam and the world can make their own. Prepared by hand for relatives to use.

Mr. Vo Trung Manh – Chairman of Tu Mo Rong District People’s Committee said that ginseng is the main medicinal plant of the locality. The district is encouraging people to change ineffective crops to growing ginseng; At the same time, we call on businesses with potential to invest. The good news is that some businesses have joined forces with people and opened factories. When the factory is built, in addition to the 120 dishes made from ginseng that have just set a Vietnamese record, there will be many other drinks and foods made from ginseng, contributing to improving people’s health. use.

At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Vietnamese Cuisine Club team (for clubs and competition teams from provinces and cities) and the First Prize to Dak Ha commune (for commune units participating in the festival). culinary competition). In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded First, Second, Third, and Consolation prizes to teams with outstanding achievements at programs such as the 2nd School Youth Gong and Xoang Festival; Art exhibition “Lighting up dreams – Breathing soul into stone”; Traditional rice pounding contest of the Xo Dang ethnic group; Big game “Journey to find the Legend of National Treasure Sam Ngoc Linh”…
