Ninh Thuan: Strengthen anti-smuggling before the holiday April 30 – May 1, 2024

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 220/QLTTNT-NVTH dated November 24, 2023 of the Director of the Department of Market Management of Ninh Thuan province on strengthening the fight against violations in the field of industry and commerce

Implement the direction of the Director of the Market Management Department of Ninh Thuan province on strengthening inspection, control and handling of violations before the holidays of April 30 and May 1, when organizations , individuals transport and gather goods to prepare for the extended holiday.

In April, Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Ninh Thuan Provincial Police to strengthen inspection, control, and anti-smuggling and commercial fraud on the circulation stage, achieving positive results.

Specifically, Market Management Team No. 1 conducted vehicle searches and handled 08 cases with a total amount of money paid to the state budget: 191,000,000 VND. Value of confiscated goods: 128,100,000 VND; Including items: 4,000 kg of sugar; 20 boxes of Euro Cake Pandan; 480 kg of artificial plants, flowers, leaves and fruits used for decoration; 80 pairs of shoes; 1,500 rolls of silver paper. Value of goods with label violations: 1.2 billion VND.

In the coming time, the Team will continue to coordinate with agencies, units and functional forces in the area to strengthen the prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the province to promptly detect , strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
