Attending the festival, Hai Duong had 16 people, all of whom were Provincial Library staff. Team members participated in 4 competitions, including: introducing the team; book introduction; Introducing a new, effective model in developing reading culture and serving lifelong learning at localities, units and aptitude tests.
In the talent contest, the Provincial Library staff played, sang and danced to accompany the work “Dien Bien is shining”. This song was composed by Hai Duong Provincial Library Director Bui Duc Canh.
National Librarian Festival propagates the development of reading culture and introduces books with the theme “Dien Bien – Echoing the epic forever” organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People’s Committee of Dien Bien province from April 23 – 26. Nearly 1,200 delegates who are librarians from 42 delegations from provincial and city libraries, armed forces libraries, and university libraries nationwide attended the festival.
Within the framework of the activities of the Festival of Librarians to propagate the development of reading culture and introduce books in 2024, a number of libraries, publishers, and book companies have participated in displaying books, newspapers, and introductory materials. Introducing the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, the history of 80 years of building, fighting and growing up of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35 years of the National Defense Festival.
