A beautiful night lamp made of snail shells, handy bags made from fishing nets or models of Nghinh Phong tower, Nhan tower made from wood, black stone, terracotta, composite painted with imitation stone, and then a signature pen made from fossilized coral… are souvenirs that attract the attention of tourists when traveling to Tuy Hoa City.
Mr. Bui Minh Duong, a tourist from Hai Phong City said: I was immediately impressed with the model of Nghinh Phong tower because this is a symbol of Phu Yen in general and Tuy Hoa in particular. In my 1-week travel plan here, the first thing is to take pictures, watch the tower at night and walk in the marine park at dawn. Whether night or day, Nghinh Phong tower is very beautiful and majestic. So, when I saw a composite tower model with imitation stone paint on sale, I immediately bought it. I also bought 3 large fishing village mesh bags, both for storing things from the trip and for long-term use in the house. According to the People’s Committee of Tuy Hoa City, from 2021 to now, the locality has 66 products achieving 4-star and 3-star OCOP certification at the provincial level. These products are local specialties associated with traditional craft villages such as fish sauce from Long Thuy coastal village, vegetables, dishwashing liquid from Binh Ngoc vegetable village; associated with long-standing production, processing and business activities of households such as pork rolls and pork sausages of Phu Gia business households; pork belly soaked in fish sauce, shrimp spring rolls, sweet and sour sauerkraut from producer and processor Bui Thi Ha, mushrooms of all kinds from Ong Giao mushroom farm, rice paper of all kinds from business household Tran Van Thang…
Tuy Hoa City also recently organized a contest to design souvenir products to serve city tourism, thereby attracting a large number of well-invested products from participating authors inside and outside the province. This is also the potential for the city to increase product sources to serve sustainable tourism development.
Promotion from tourism promotion
Tourism promotion activities of the province and city are always associated with trade promotion for local products. According to the People’s Committee of Tuy Hoa City, demonstrating ocean tuna with hundreds of unique dishes and the process of building a collective brand for the city’s typical seafood is a way to bring Phu Yen specialty products to the provinces. domestically and abroad.
For the first time, souvenir products serving city tourism are displayed at Ho Son park in a series of activities commemorating the 49th anniversary of Phu Yen Liberation Day (April 1, 1975-April 1, 2024). , responding to the 65th Tien Phong Newspaper Marathon and Long Distance National Championship and Phu Yen Culture and Tourism Week in 2024.
In addition, through tourism connections with the Central Highlands provinces, Tuy Hoa City also brings OCOP products and souvenirs to be introduced in Pleiku City (Gia Lai province) in 2023 and Kon Tum City (Kon Tum province) between April 2024. In the city, Ward 7 night market and Phan Luu Thanh walking street are where products are regularly sold. To attract tourists, the city invests in lights, decorative shapes and organizes street cultural activities.
