Accordingly, from April 27, 2024, tourists will visit 5 island communes: Quan Lan, Minh Chau, Ngoc Vung, Thang Loi, Ban Sen are not allowed to bring single-use plastic products.

Tourists and residents are supported in using recycled, environmentally friendly products to replace plastic bags. At Ao Tien International Passenger Port (Cai Rong) and 6 wharves in 5 island communes, billboards and posters with the theme “Do not bring plastic waste to the island” are synchronously installed, propagandizing and encouraging tourists to leave trash behind.
