To implement these goals, the province effectively promotes local comparative advantages of many types of agricultural products, builds and develops concentrated and specialized production areas to facilitate the application of scientific and technological advances, bringing new technology into production, promoting mechanization, promoting production links along the value chain, creating goods with large volume and high economic value. The shift from traditional farming to new methods, with the presence of science and technology, is focused on by farmers.

As a pioneer in applying technology to tea production in Hai Dong village (Quang Thanh commune, Hai Ha district), Mr. Nguyen Van Thien invested in an economical automatic irrigation system for his family’s more than 2 hectares of tea and operated it. through mobile phone. Previously, with this area, Mr. Thien had to hire 4 workers, but now he can complete it in less than 1 hour with just one remote control. This system not only helps provide water for the tea area, but all the fertilizers used are manure, green manure and other organic fertilizers mixed through the automatic irrigation system to fertilize the plants. Mr. Thien said: Applying digital technology to production is an inevitable trend in modern agriculture. This method contributes to maximum saving of human resources, while still ensuring the highest efficiency on a cultivated area.

Applying advanced and modern techniques in agricultural production has gradually formed concentrated production areas bringing high economic efficiency. The whole province currently has over 7,000 soil-tilling machines of all types, covering 95% of the cultivated area; More than 2,500 threshing machines and 3,000 milling machines meet over 95% of production needs. A number of new types of machines have been put into production at the following stages: Transportation, grain separation, water pumping, pesticide spraying, and ditch digging. Currently, the mechanization rate in harvesting reaches over 80%; Active irrigation reaches 80% of the area. There are many models of mechanized applications in animal feed processing, automatic feeding, drinking, milking machines, food grinding…

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Son, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the solution to accomplish the goal of developing modern agriculture, civilized rural areas, and wealthy farmers that the province has set for the period 2020-2025 is not only to produce more agricultural products, which must be agricultural products with market advantages to bring high value; not only linking within agricultural production stages, but linking agriculture with industry and services; The production organization model must be dominant, respect cooperation, and be on par with other countries in the region.
