Industrial development is one of the important goals approved by the Government in the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050. According to the industrial park system development plan, Dak Lak aims to plan and develop 5 industrial parks and 3 new industrial clusters. These are M’Drak Industrial Park with a scale of 300 hectares, Ea Kar Industrial Park with a scale of 480 hectares and Ea H’leo Industrial Park with a scale of 400 hectares.

A report from the Department of Industry and Trade said that by the end of the first quarter of 2024, Dak Lak will have 9 operating industrial clusters, attracting 173 investment projects and investment registrations, with a total initial registered capital of more than 6,000 billion VND. . In addition, in the period 2021 – 2030 with a vision to 2050, Dak Lak Provincial Planning will develop 26 industrial complexes. Specifically, City. Buon Ma Thuot has 4 industrial clusters; Ea Kar and M’Drak districts, each district has 3 industrial clusters; Krong Buk, Krong Bong, Lak, Ea H’leo districts, each district has 2 industrial clusters; The remaining districts each have 1 CCN.

Developing more industrial parks and industrial clusters helps Dak Lak exploit its strengths in transportation infrastructure, raw materials and especially available local labor resources. This is the premise to accelerate the industrialization process, attract investment and create motivation for economic, urban and social development of the province.

At the same time, the large recruitment demand from factories and businesses for workers is also increasing. With the progress of planning the industrial park and industrial complex system in the near future, this will attract a number of local workers and from other localities, posing a security problem that needs to be solved.

According to statistics from the Dak Lak Province Employment Service Center, from the beginning of 2024 until now, there have been more than 600 businesses registered to recruit workers locally, with a number of more than 10,000 people.
