Previously, on April 25, a group of workers using an excavator to build a drainage ditch system across Dinh Bat Tuy street (Truong Thi ward, Vinh city) discovered a bomb 1.1 m long, 41 mm in diameter. cm detonator and tail wing intact. The unit reported to the local authorities and the Military Command of Truong Thi ward.

Upon receiving the information, the Military Command of Truong Thi ward blocked the scene and did not allow people to get close to ensure safety; At the same time, report to the authorities. Afterwards, the Engineering Department (Military Command of Nghe An province) determined that the bomb weighed about 340 kg, suspected to be left over from the war. Using professional measures, the Department of Engineers disabled the detonator; Coordinate with relevant units to transport bombs to safe detonation locations.
