Ho Chi Minh City aims to operate Metro commercial No. 1 in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Metro No. 1 has a total investment of more than 43,700 billion VND, nearly 20km long from Ben Thanh (District 1) to Long Binh Depot (Thu Duc City). This is the first urban railway project in Ho Chi Minh City, started in 2012.
After line No. 1, Metro No. 2 project (Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) worth more than VND 47,800 billion is being cleared by Ho Chi Minh City and relocated technical infrastructure to start the main bidding packages in 2025.
