Ho Chi Minh City reduced 11 fireworks displays on April 30

The information is stated in the fireworks plan to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the country’s reunification recently issued by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, the city only displays fireworks at 5 points, down 11 points compared to the plan. Shooting time is from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on April 30; funding from socialization sources.

Among them, a high-altitude point is at the beginning of the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Thiem ward, Thu Duc city. 4 low-range points, including two points at Thao Dien Villa Area (shot on a barge) and Van Phuc Urban Area (Thu Duc City) and two points at Lot N4-D6 Northwest Industrial Park (Cu Chi district) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).

Previously, on April 16, Ho Chi Minh City finalized the plan to display fireworks at 16 points, with one high point and 15 low points, of which the highlight of the program was carried out along the Saigon River with a scale of 10 points.

According to research by VnExpress, the city changed the number of fireworks displays to celebrate April 30 according to the suggestions of some participating units. The city has considered many factors, including focusing resources for next year, the 50th anniversary of the country’s unification.

Fireworks displays are carried out in accordance with Decree 36/2009 of the Government. On the occasion of Lunar New Year’s Eve and September 2nd, centrally run cities and Thua Thien Hue display high- and low-range fireworks; The remaining provinces fired low-level artillery; duration no more than 15 minutes. Only Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are allowed to display fireworks on April 30.

In addition, fireworks display occasions such as the establishment of provinces and centrally run cities; national and international cultural, tourism and sports events; New Year’s Eve… is decided by the Prime Minister.
