On April 27, Vinh Lam Commune People’s Committee said that the government is working with family and relatives to organize funerals for two siblings who died from drowning in the area. The victims are two siblings, 5 years old and 3 years old, children of Mr. HVC and his wife (41 years old, residing in Lam Cao village, Vinh Lam commune).
Early in the evening of April 26, two young children were at home with their brother and mother. After that, the brother went on a business trip, and the mother (Ms. HTN) also struggled at home. A moment later, when she went to the front of the house, the two small children could not be found. The mother panicked and shouted for everyone to look for them.
An ambulance took two children home from the hospital
At about 7:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. N. and everyone else discovered two small children in the garden pond, so they immediately took them both to the emergency hospital. However, it was too late.
Authorities in Vinh Linh District continue to investigate and clarify the tragic drowning case of two siblings.
