Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in collaboration with the Vietnam Military History Museum opened the exhibition “Dien Bien Phu Victory – An Immortal Epic”. The opening ceremony took place on the afternoon of April 26.

Mr. Vu Manh Ha – Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum – affirmed that the Dien Bien Phu victory is one of the brilliant milestones, recorded in the history of fighting foreign invaders of the Vietnamese people. This victory is likened to the victories of Bach Dang, Chi Lang, and Dong Da in the Ho Chi Minh era and is also a common victory of oppressed peoples around the world.

“This exhibition introduces to the public the bold imprints of the famous Dien Bien Phu victory on five continents, shaking the earth of the Vietnamese people. Through the exhibition, the public can see the outstanding maturity of the Vietnamese people. Vietnam People’s Army”, Mr. Vu Manh Ha stated.

With more than 300 images, documents, and artifacts, the public can see important, extremely vivid historical milestones and evidence of the decisive battle that created the “illustrious, earth-shaking” victory. demand” of the nation.

The exhibition consists of 3 parts: Road to Dien Bien Phu, Dien Bien Phu – The decisive strategic battle and The pride of Dien Bien clarify the meaning, stature, and great historical value of the Dien Bien Phu victory. Special images and artifacts remind of the patriotic tradition, revolutionary heroism, and determination to win of the Dien Bien Phu campaign in the cause of building and firmly defending the homeland.

The rope was used by artillery troops to pull artillery into the battlefield during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954.

The exhibition was introduced at the Ho Chi Minh Museum from April 26 to October.
