At the City’s Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Management Board, there is a situation where after adjusting the planning project, there is an increase in industrial land area and lack of green area. Specifically, Dong Nam industrial park, Hiep Phuoc industrial park, Tan Binh industrial park, expanded Tan Binh industrial park; Linh Trung 1 export processing zone, Linh Trung 2 export processing zone.

Therefore, according to the Management Board of Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones, investors in export processing zones and industrial construction zones need a plan to supplement the area of green land and traffic land that has been implemented but is still lacking according to the regulations. approved planning; Assign the Department of Planning and Architecture to guide implementation units.

Currently, many industrial parks across the country are planned without ensuring green areas and waste treatment, so the environment is damaged and has a significant impact on life. Many localities have been considered “concreted” and have made the land dry and contaminated with waste.

Landscape architects share that an industrial park is an area for industrial development according to a specific plan. With the specific types of production operating in current industrial parks such as: steel rolling, construction materials production, steel and concrete production, mechanical processing, services and other heavy industries , during operation, the generation of waste sources such as dust, exhaust gas, wastewater, and garbage cannot be avoided.

Therefore, developing green areas in industrial parks to clean the environment, reduce harmful gases, minimize the greenhouse effect and climate change due to increased temperature in industrial parks is the most effective solution to protect the environment. Enhance ecological landscape for sustainable development purposes.

According to the National Technical Regulations on construction planning, industrial parks and industrial clusters must reserve at least 10% of their land area for greenery, and businesses operating in industrial parks must reserve at least 20% of their land area. land for planting trees.

This regulation aims to reduce the concrete area, reduce the greenhouse effect and aim to create an ecological landscape to serve the purpose of sustainable industrial development.

Although the absolute rate has not been achieved, infrastructure development investors and secondary businesses in industrial zones are interested in developing green areas.
