The French military command tried to concentrate troops and build the Dien Bien Phu basin into the strongest stronghold in Indochina, in order to attract the main force of the Vietnamese army into the war.

Realizing that this was an opportunity to destroy enemy forces, the Vietnam Army Command decided to launch a campaign to attack the Dien Bien Phu base group. On March 13, 1954, the Dien Bien Phu campaign began. After 56 days and nights of arduous fighting, on May 7, 1954, we completely won.
