Hail caused damage to hundreds of hectares of rice in Dak Lak

On the morning of April 27, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Krong Pak district (Dak Lak) said that the recent hailstorm in the area had caused damage to people’s agricultural products.

The hailstorm lasted about 30 minutes on the afternoon of April 26, accompanied by many stones larger than marbles, causing damage to many rice fields in Ea Kly commune and Vu Bon commune (Krong Pak district).

A leader of the People’s Committee of Ea Kly commune confirmed that the rain had caused the seeds to fall, affecting hundreds of hectares of rice that were about to be harvested in the area.

“After a long period of drought, people were eagerly looking forward to the first rain of the season, but this hailstorm has caused heavy damage to farmers,” the commune leader informed.

Krong Pak district is making statistics on people’s losses to provide support according to regulations.
