Ho Chi Minh City reduces the number of fireworks displays on the occasion of April 30

On April 26, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee issued a document directing the organization of fireworks to celebrate 49 years of national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2024).

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City only organized fireworks displays at 5 locations, instead of 16 locations as expected 10 days ago. Of the 5 points, there is 1 high-range fireworks point and 4 low-level fireworks points. The shooting time lasts for 15 minutes, from 9:00 p.m. on April 30.

Specifically, the high-altitude fireworks display is at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City) with the number of 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-range fireworks rigs, and 10 pyrotechnic rigs. .

4 low-range points in Thao Dien villa area (Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City), Van Phuc urban area (Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City), lot N4 – D6 Northwest industrial park ( Tan An Hoi Commune, Cu Chi District) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (Ward 3, District 11), each with 90 low-level fireworks platforms.

Ho Chi Minh City Television will broadcast the fireworks show live on HTV9 channel.

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee assigned Ho Chi Minh City Police to coordinate with the Department of Transport to organize traffic flow, clear anchoring and temporarily stop all activities of waterway vehicles in the area around the shooting points. Local police coordinate to ensure safety around areas and at fireworks display locations.

During the holidays of National Unification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1) in 2024, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of state administrative agencies and public service units will established in Ho Chi Minh City have 5 consecutive days off, from Saturday April 27 to Wednesday May 1.
