After a period of incubation, Flip 7: One wish by Ly Hai has been premiered. Without climactic action sequences like the previous parts, Ly Hai’s film this time completely focuses on the theme of family love.
Talking about this, Ly Hai said that the inspiration for him to make this movie was because of his children. The male director wanted to create a work that his four children could go to the theater to watch without age restrictions.
“In the previous films, when editing the film, I did not let the children see scenes that were not appropriate for their age. At that time, the children also expressed their wish that their parents could make films that the whole family, too, could as your friends can see, this inspired me to release this work.” Ly Hai said.
This is also the first time that all four of Ly Hai’s children appear in a movie made by their parents and can go to the theater to watch the movie together. In the previous parts, Ly Hai – Minh Ha’s children also acted and attended the movie premiere, but had to leave when everyone entered the theater because they were not of the required age.

During the premiere Flip 7: One wish, Ly Hai also surprised everyone by inviting his biological mother to attend. Due to her advanced age and difficulty moving, she was in a wheelchair and was helped onto the red carpet.
According to Ly Hai, he also made this part of the film to dedicate to his biological mother – Mrs. Pham Thi Hai (99 years old). The main character in Flip 7 is also inspired by and named after the male director’s biological mother.
On stage, the male director thanked his mother and family for helping him achieve his current success. Before that, he was nervous because he didn’t know if his mother could attend.
During the script writing stage, Ly Hai was emotional many times, especially when writing the mother’s dialogue and imagining the scene. The director put some of his childhood memories into the film, but he changed the setting from the western region of his hometown to the Lam Dong highlands.
“I wanted to do something special for my family, especially my mother. But until now I have only been able to do it, a movie about family, about motherhood,” he added.

Ly Hai also happily said that even though it hasn’t premiered yet Turn over 7 recorded the first achievement of becoming the Vietnamese film with the highest number of pre-sale tickets in the first 6 days of all time with more than 105,000 tickets sold. The film’s hashtag also currently has 100,000 views on the TikTok platform.
Sharing about this, Ly Hai said: “A new record for Flip 7 was recorded right before the first premieres took place even though it was only opened for sale 6 days in advance. This number was definitely created thanks to the love and trust of the audience.”

Flip 7: One wish focuses on the daily life of a multigenerational family, including grandparents, children, in-laws, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The main characters of the film are father Hai (artist Thanh Hien) and five children including Hai Khon (Truong Minh Cuong), Ba Lanh (Dinh Y Nhung), Tu Hau (Quach Ngoc Tuyen), Nam Thao (Tram Anh) and Sau Tam (Tran Kim Hai).
One time, Mrs. Hai unfortunately had an accident. At this time, the five children each had their own concerns and chose one person to take care of their mother. The problems from here are revealed with many stories in each family.
The first time collaborating with Ly Hai, artist Thanh Hien considered him a cute person, from real life to filming set. “Ly Hai is a dedicated director, making the film crew always feel like a big family”she revealed.
