On the morning of April 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a meeting to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024) and the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and reunification of the country. The event aims to pay tribute to the soldiers, young volunteers, and frontline civilians participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; Retired Army and Police general level officers in the area.

Speaking before senior military generals, leaders, and former leaders of the Party and State, Major General Nguyen Minh Hoang, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association, expressed his appreciation for the gratitude of the generals and officials.
