CEO Min Hee Jin talked about BTS, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, aespa in the press conference

On the afternoon of April 25, CEO of ADOR Company – Min Hee Jin – main producer of the NewJeans group, held the first public press conference since the scandal with HYBE group broke out.

Previously, on April 22, HYBE suddenly conducted an audit of its subsidiary ADOR due to suspicions that ADOR’s leadership, including CEO Min Hee Jin, was planning to take control of the company. There is information that HYBE will sue Min Hee Jin today (April 25) for abuse of trust.

During the press conference, Min Hee Jin stated: “Everything HYBE is saying is a lie. I never said BTS copied me.” She also affirmed, “never tried to gain control of ADOR”.

The lawyer representing the female CEO at the press conference explained: “It cannot be a breach of trust. When you say “breach of trust,” that is when an action actually results in harm to the company. In no case did Min Hee Jin attempt to reduce the company’s value. I am really looking forward to the report that HYBE will submit to the police.”

Min Hee Jin continued: “It wasn’t me who turned my back on HYBE, but HYBE who betrayed me. They took full advantage of me and now want to take me down because I didn’t listen to them. No one has done what I have done in my 30 years of working in Kpop. But HYBE is trying to kill the head of a subsidiary.”

The female CEO published a text message with HYBE President Bang Si Hyuk, in which he asked Min Hee Jin: “Can you step on aespa?”. Notably, this message was sent on the day aespa (under SM company) won the Rookie award and also the Daesang at the 2021 AAA awards ceremony.

Min Hee Jin explained the information that she stole a trainee from Source Music – the company that manages the group LE SSERAFIM. CEO Min said that initially, president Bang promised that Min Hee Jin would be the producer for HYBE’s first girl group. But then, HYBE recruited Sakura and Chaewon (current LE SSERAFIM group members) to form the group’s first girl group other than NewJeans.

“All the trainees came to see me because it would be Min Hee Jin’s girl group and not Source Music’s girl group. I never knew that they were recruiting Sakura and Kim Chaewon, but then they said they would debut that group. First, I said I would quit my job and held a press conference. Park Ji Won (HYBE CEO) asked me what he could do to compensate for this situation.

They never explained all of this to the interns’ parents. The parents were very angry. They blame Source Music because they’re afraid NewJeans won’t be able to debut because of Source Music’s girl group.

I told them, I accepted these girls because I wanted to help the group debut. I don’t steal interns,” the female CEO recounted.

Regarding the statement “ILLIT copied NewJean”, CEO Min Hee Jin explained: “I do not slander ILLIT. ILLIT members are not guilty. It is an adult issue. There is a reason why I have to raise the issue of ILLIT. They copy our production formula too much. Why do we have to make Multi-label if this label doesn’t have its own personality?

Why did ILLIT take both NewJeans and LE SSERAFIM’s choreography? Only someone who wants to betray the company doesn’t realize the problem. Is this good for anyone? It also has a negative effect on ILLIT.

It brought the entire industry down. It hurts shareholder value. I don’t care about being cursed at, but I feel relieved because today I can talk about everything.”

Regarding concerns about NewJeans’ activities, CEO Min Hee Jin affirmed that NewJeans’ music product release plan will take place on schedule. On the evening of April 26 (Vietnam time), NewJeans will release a new MV, paving the way for the album to be released in May and June.

Besides, CEO Min questioned whether HYBE really cares about NewJeans, when the audit and unfavorable news broke out just a few days before NewJeans re-appeared?

“It doesn’t matter whether I resign or not. I have no intention of usurping management rights of the company. I don’t even care if someone else replaces me. All I ask is that they leave us alone” – Min Hee Jin concluded.
