Putin also came to see how the construction of the Tauric Chersonesos historical and archaeological park was going.

The AP news agency (USA) commented that the places Putin visited in Crimea appeared to have been chosen in response to the action of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

On March 17, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin and the Russian President’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, on charges of “possibly related to war crimes” for bringing children illegally from the occupied regions of Ukraine to Russia.

However, the Kremlin insists that Russia does not recognize the authority of the ICC and considers its decisions null and void.
