Nianan’s parents offered her a monthly allowance of 4,000 yuan (about $570), from their pension of more than 100,000 yuan ($15,000).
Nianan describes her job now as “a profession filled with love”. Every morning, she spends an hour dancing with her parents and going shopping with them. Although being with her parents is very comfortable, Nianan admits that “her biggest pressure is still wanting to earn more money”. Her parents repeatedly reassured her that “if you find a better job, you can do it. If you don’t want to work, you can just stay home and spend time with us.”
