Four members of the band Westlife arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of November 20, preparing for the show “The Wild Dreams Tour” on November 21-22.
According to the organizers, the group flew from Macau to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport at about 6:20 p.m. Previously, at the request of the group, the schedule had to be kept secret. However, from early afternoon, many fans were present at the airport, carrying banners and posters to welcome them.
Nicky Byrne used her phone to record the moment with Vietnamese fans.
When Westlife appeared, the crowd cheered and called the group’s name. Members like Nicky Byrne used personal phones to save moments with fans. They then quickly moved to private cars to the hotel.
Westlife will have time to rest before entering their first show on the evening of November 21, expected to welcome more than 15,000 spectators at Thong Nhat Stadium. Ms. Do Thu Giang – director of AMO Company, the organizer – said: “The group’s schedule during the Vietnam tour is quite stressful, with almost no free time. Previously, the group was expected to arrive early or late. Stay to experience the culture and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine.”
Event The Wild Dreams Tour of Westlife has been anticipated by many Vietnamese fans for nearly two months, since the organizers announced the information on September 19. Initially, the group planned to only perform one night on November 22. On the opening day of September 26, the number of tickets sold out in about four hours, the highest price was 4 million VND. In response to fans’ interest, in mid-October, the organizers announced another show on November 21.
Shane Steven Filan – main vocalist of the group Westlife.
According to the organizers, after the show in Vietnam, Westlife will immediately fly to India to continue the tour according to the available schedule. Therefore, if we do not do it on the evening of November 21, there will be no other time, while the number of audiences who want to enjoy the music night is still very large.
On November 17, the organizers announced the opening of additional category 7 tickets (area 7) for both shows at a price of 600,000 VND. The information caused controversy on social networks when a part of the audience thought the decision was unreasonable. According to the diagram, ticket buyers of this class are assigned seats in front of areas A1, A2, A3 – ticket classes with higher prices.
Ms. Thu Giang said she opened additional ticket classes because she wanted to serve more needs of the group’s idol audience. The organizing committee did not reveal the specific number of category 7 tickets, but confirmed that this number of tickets only accounts for a small portion compared to category 1 and category 2. “Opening additional ticket classes does not affect the rights as well as the vision and experience.” Experience watching shows of previous ticket classes,” the unit representative said.

The members said goodbye to fans before returning to the hotel to rest.
The organizers have not yet disclosed detailed content. However, the show will have a gentle spirit, reminiscent of youth. Westlife plans to perform hits such as Uptown Girl, Seasons in the Sun, Flying Without Wings, No One’s Gonna Sleep Tonight, At the same time, there will be additional surprise performances.
The stage is designed in a “T” shape – different from recent tours – so the group can get closer to the audience. Compared to other countries where Westlife has held concerts, the program duration in Vietnam will be longer. In recent days, the organizers have improved the grounds and backstage area, and renumbered all the seats at Thong Nhat Stadium.
