The leader of Thanh Tri District Police added that on the night of April 23, the unit received a report of an intentional injury incident that occurred in Viet Yen village (Ngu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri).

The victims are two men, NVC (VTV Times reporter) and MHM (Electronic Newspaper reporter).

According to reports from two victims, on the evening of April 23, Mr. C. and Mr. M. received news of a factory fire in Viet Yen village.

After contacting the authorities, two reporters were instructed to enter the scene of the incident to work.

However, when two reporters were using personal phones to record the fire in two different locations, they were suddenly attacked by a group of three people, hindering operational activities.

The incident of 3 subjects assaulting and obstructing reporters was recorded in pictures, including: 1 subject wearing a short-sleeved shirt, about 45-50 years old; A subject wearing a black sleeveless shirt and another subject (unidentified) continuously chased and assaulted and insulted the reporter.

As a result, two reporters C. and M. suffered injuries to their heads, temples, and bleeding left and right wrists.

The phones of the two reporters were snatched, thrown or broken by the subjects during the assault.

Immediately afterward, two reporters went to the Police headquarters to report the incident.

After taking testimony, the investigation officer guided and took the assaulted reporter to the Agricultural Hospital to check for injuries.

Currently, Thanh Tri District Police are collecting evidence and investigating to clarify the case.

Previously, at about 6:25 p.m. on April 23, a fire broke out at the wooden accessories warehouse in Xom 4, Viet Yen village (Ngu Hiep commune).

People quickly shouted, tried to put out the fire and reported to the authorities.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police force controlled and extinguished the fire.

Initially recorded, the fire was in the wooden furniture accessories warehouse of Mr. Trieu Van L.’s family (born in 1984). The burned warehouse area is about 50m2./.


Mr. HV was using his personal cell phone and a camera to take photos and videos when a young man attacked him, snatched the phone and threw it into the sea, and broke the memory card in the camera.
