  • Live futsal Vietnam vs Uzbekistan

The Vietnamese team faces Uzbekistan in the quarter-finals of the Asian futsal tournament – Futsal Asian Cup 2024. If they win, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team will enter the semi-finals and have a place in the 2024 World Cup. In case of elimination , the Vietnamese team still has a chance to compete for a “ticket” to the world championship.

The match between Vietnam and Uzbekistan in the 2024 Asian Futsal quarterfinals takes place at 9:00 p.m. today, April 24, broadcast live on VTV5 and FPT Play system (FPT Play application and FPT Vietnamese Football YouTube channel).

Defeating Uzbekistan is a difficult task for the Vietnamese team. The Central Asian team is ranked 25th in the world and is always in the top 4 in Asia. Uzbekistan’s futsal level is not inferior to Thailand – the team that just beat Vietnam 2-1 in the group stage, or even better.

The Vietnamese team is not in good form at this tournament. The players’ performance was not like what they showed in the friendly matches before the tournament. The Vietnamese team was held to a draw by Myanmar and only narrowly won against China.

However, when playing in the “underdog” position, coach Diego Giustozzi’s students can play in a different and easier way. That was shown in the second half of the match against Thailand, when Pham Duc Hoa and his teammates continuously pressured the opponent.

“I hope to meet strong teams that play direct attacks like Thailand and Uzbekistan. In a knockout match, the anxiety and caution of the teams is there.“, coach Giustozzi said.

The Vietnamese team needs more focus and not get caught up in the opponent’s playing rhythm. The pressure that Uzbekistan creates will be huge. Before thinking about taking advantage of opportunities, the Vietnamese team needs to do a good job of protecting goalkeeper Ho Van Y’s goal.
