Hanoi: 2 reporters were assaulted while working at a fire in Thanh Tri district

(PLO) – While working at a fire in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi city, two reporters working at VTV Times and VnExpress e-newspaper were assaulted by several people.

Thanh Tri district police, Hanoi are coordinating with functional forces to collect evidence, verify and clarify the case of two reporters (PV) being assaulted while working in the area.

Previously, on the night of April 23, Thanh Tri District Police received reports from two reporters, Mr. NVC (working at VTV Times) and MHM (working at VnExpress Electronic Newspaper) about being assaulted while working. fire in Ngu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri.

Specifically, on the same evening, NVC and NHM reporters learned about a factory fire in Ngu Hiep commune, so they went to this area to investigate.

After contacting the authorities, two reporters were instructed to enter the scene. However, after using their personal phones to record the fire for about 30 seconds, the two reporters were suddenly attacked from behind by strangers.

Also according to the report of the two reporters, when they were beaten and injured, they shouted and ran towards the authorities on duty when three men continued to chase and kick them, causing their personal phones to fall and break. .

Immediately after the incident, two reporters went to Thanh Tri District Police headquarters to report. At the police station, the Criminal Police Team guided reporters to file reports, take testimonies and collect photos and videos to record the incident.

At 11 p.m. the same day, the authorities took two reporters to the Agricultural Hospital to check their injuries and assess their injuries.

Currently, Thanh Tri District Police are continuing to collect evidence to investigate and clarify the case.
