Previously, on the night of April 23, Thanh Tri District Police received reports from two journalists, Mr. VTV Times) and MHM (electronic newspaper reporter VnExpress) about being assaulted while working on a fire in Viet Yen village, Ngu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri.

According to Mr. C. and Mr. M.’s report, on the evening of April 23, the two received news of a factory fire occurring in Viet Yen village.

When both journalists were standing about 100 meters from the scene, using equipment to record and record the fire, they were suddenly attacked by a group of people, hindering their operations.

This group of people insulted, threatened, and hit journalist C. in the head, causing bleeding. Not only that, some people in this group also strangled and kicked journalist M. in the stomach.

Being attacked, the two journalists shouted and ran towards the authorities, but were still chased and beaten by this group of people.

Some of the two victims’ property, such as phones, were snatched and thrown by this group and broken.

Immediately afterward, two journalists went to the police headquarters to report the incident and were taken to the hospital for first aid.
