Not only causing damage to houses, hail also destroyed more than 550 hectares of crops that people planted, of which mainly corn (400 hectares), the rest were tomatoes, chayote, plums, peaches, and beans. , cabbage, oranges, tangerines…

Today, Long Luong Commune People’s Committee will continue to collect detailed damage statistics and support people to overcome the consequences of the hailstorm.

Before that, tell PLOMr. Nguyen Hop Cuong, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Van Ho district, said that the hailstorm was very dangerous, occurring at about 4:00 p.m. to about 5:00 p.m., concentrated in three villages of Co Cham, Lung Xa, and Ta De of Long Luong commune.

After the rain stopped, the Van Ho district authorities went to the village and still saw rocks the size of a bowl lying in the tomato beds, the amount of rocks was very thick.

“With tomato beds hit by hail, it is likely that nothing will be harvested” – Mr. Cuong said.
