At 8:45 a.m. on April 26, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by SJC Company for buying at 82.4 million VND/tael, selling for 84.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 300,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday.
PNJ Company sold SJC gold bars at 84.3 million VND/tael while DOJI Group sold 84.5 million VND/tael.
Not only SJC gold bars, the price of gold rings and 24K gold jewelry of all kinds also increased by 150,000 VND to a buying level of 73.25 million VND/tael, and selling price of 74.95 million VND/tael.
Domestic gold prices continued to increase this morning
Domestic gold prices skyrocketed following the recovery of world prices. Gold bar prices even increased faster than world prices, in the context that the State Bank’s auctions did not reach expectations. In fact, in the three gold bar auction announcements, the amount of gold supplied to the market was only about 3,400 taels.
On the international market, gold prices are trading at 2,330 USD/ounce, up about 10 USD/ounce in the context of stock markets in the US and Europe sinking in the red.
Recently released US economic data shows that this country’s GDP in the first quarter of 2024 only reached 1.6%, much lower than the previous growth forecast, inflation is still high.
Currently, the world gold price converted at the listed exchange rate is about 71.5 million VND/tael, about 3.5 million VND lower than the gold ring price and about 13 million VND/tael lower than the SJC gold bar price.
